Déborah Holtz
Born in Mexico City, she holds a degree in Communication from the Ibero-American University and a master’s degree in Political Sociology from The London School of Economics and Political Science in London. She took specialization courses in filmmaking at New York University, in editing at Standford University, and is a graduate of the IPADE Senior Management program. Since 1995, she has been director and co-founder, together with Juan Carlos Mena, of Trilce Ediciones, a company dedicated to the original creation of cultural content on different platforms, such as books, exhibitions, television series, and radio. In 2004, she was a founding member of the Alliance of Independent Mexican Publishing houses where she was director for four years. She has also been a member of the Culture Council of the Ministry of Culture of CDMX, of the Advisory Culture Council of the Chamber of Deputies and has been part of the creation and coordination of Círculo Editorial Azteca Publishing since 2006. Among some outstanding accomplishments, we can mention her editing of books of popular culture, art, poetry and children’s and youth literature. She has produced various exhibitions, internet pages, series, and television programs, among which Sensacional de Diseño mexicano (Sensational Mexican Design) stands out, a series co-produced with Canal OnceTV in 2013. She is producer and host since 2006 the radio program Salsajazzeando in IMER Horizon.
