Rodolphe Burger

Born in 1957 in Colmar, Haut-Rhin, France. He first gained musical recognition in the experimental rock band Kat Onoma. This Strascourg-based band debuted in 1988 with the release of the album Cupid. Their popularity grew over the years thanks to their participation with the Stock Phrases, Billy the Kid, Kat Onoma and Live à la Chepelle. Although Kat Onoma disintegrated in 2004, Burger had already begun his search for a soloist career, creating albums such as Cheval-movement, Meteor Show (winner of the Grand Prix Award of the Charles Cros Academy), No Sport, Valley Session and Good. The music within these productions was a surprising departure from the rock experimentations that had characterized the Kat Onoma's sound. Since 2001, Burger has been artistic director of the renowned Festival C’est Dans la Vallée and is considered one of France's most important fusion musicians.
